Victor Frankenstein and his rejected creation aren’t far removed from today’s debates over artificial intelligence, life-extension, human cloning, and black-market sales of human cadavers. This talk will discuss the novel and how it differs significantly from its many film adaptations, as well as the various controversies it has inspired since its original publication in 1818. Frankenstein is as “immortal” as any novel can be. Join Professor Madigan and his class for this engaging, Halloween-themed talk. Refreshments and snacks will be provided!56760 DTSTAMP:20251104T014239 DTSTART:20251031T080000 DTEND:20251031T090900 LOCATION: SUMMARY;LANGUAGE=en-us:Frankenstein Lives!
